Last Friday, I was on a flight from Nantucket to NY with two magazines in my bag to read on my short flight. Entrepreneur magazine had a fabulous two-page piece on Anna Jerstrom, President of Calavera, her swimwear company for women surfers! MORE magazine had a picture of Mom Corps Founder Allison O'Kelly in the "Hire Calling" contest on page 8, and on page 50, there was a brilliantly written piece by Manisha Thakor on earning and investing. I was struck by what rockstars our members are and can only imagine how many other publications they were featured in!

Chiara Zuniga: From UPenn Engineering PhD to Technology Innovator!

Professionally, I am particularly proud of having earned a PhD in Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania. I decided to embark on a challenging, but also extremely rewarding experience, during which I developed an innovative sensor technology and filed two patent applications. Also, my PhD program had a strong introspective component, and it gave me the chance to realize what my strengths and my passions are. In fact, I realized early on that I was not drawn to an academic career; rather, I was interested in learning how innovative technologies, often born in a lab, get to market. READ MORE

Pipeline Fellowship launches in the Bay Area & LA!

Angel investing bootcamp for women philanthropists expands to the west coast.

The Pipeline Fellowship trains women philanthropists to become angel investors through education, mentoring, and practice. Fellows commit to invest in a woman-led for-profit social venture in exchange for equity and a board seat at the end of the training.
