85 Broads publishes Betsy Massar's new book Admitted!

We are delighted to announce the release of our first book, Admitted: An Interactive Workbook for Getting into a Top MBA Program, written by Betsy Massar, co-authored by Francesca Di Meglio, and designed by Stacey Aaronson.

Admitted is a witty and accessible interactive guide to the entire application process. The exercises in Admitted not only help applicants structure their campaigns, it encourages them to explore aspirations, life experience, work style, emotional intelligence, and place in the world.

You can now purchase Admitted online here. You can also download individual chapters from the workbook on the site. The book is also available for purchase on Amazon. A portion of proceeds will go to charities founded by 85 Broads members!

Betsy is also the brilliant founder of Master Admissions, a graduate admissions consulting firm specializing in MBA applications. Betsy has been an active blogger for the 85 Broads website. She is a go-to resource for 85 Broads and friends on anything related to business and professional graduate school programs.

Betsy and Stacey will be hosting a Jam Session in early February 2012 to discuss the ins and outs of self-publishing with the 85 Broads imprint!

Praise for Admitted:

This is the definitive guide to getting into a top MBA program! The book’s organized, easy-to-read format is exactly what prospective business students need to prepare themselves for admission. I highly recommend it!  ~ Janet Hanson, CEO and Founder, 85 Broads

Betsy Massar's book gives MBA applicants a much-needed framework for submitting a stellar application. With this book, you'll be able to tell stories about yourself that show off your leadership and emotional intelligence and gain the insight to build a well-rounded, holistic application. ~ Leila Pirnia, Founder, MBA Podcaster

If more potential MBA students knew about the tools in Admitted, they'd be able to write much stronger essays. Betsy's witty, insightful book will guide you through the thinking process that will help you get into a top business school. ~ Marie Highby, former member of the Stanford Graduate School of Business admission team

About 85 Broads

http://www.85broads.com

85 Broads is a global women’s network whose mission is to generate exceptional professional and social value for its members. Through our regional network events and online at 85Broads.com, members invest their time, their intellect, and their financial capital in each other’s ideas and businesses.

85 Broads was founded in 1997 as a network for current and former Goldman Sachs women who worked at 85 Broad Street, the firm’s NYC headquarters, and at other GS offices worldwide. In 2000, at the urging of women at Harvard Business School, we expanded the network to include women who were students and alumnae of the world’s leading graduate business schools, irrespective of chosen career path.

In 2004, we recognized the importance of further expanding the network to include women at the undergraduate level who were pursuing every career path imaginable. Over the next 3 years, we created campus clubs at 40 colleges in the US and abroad.

And in 2007, we extended membership in 85 Broads to all amazing, trailblazing women worldwide without regard to one’s college or graduate school affiliation.

The women in 85 Broads are entrepreneurs, investment bankers, consultants, filmmakers, lawyers, educators, athletes, venture capitalists, portfolio managers, political leaders, philanthropists, doctors, engineers, artists, scientists, in addition to women who are seeking to blaze new trails.
